Our thanks to all of you who with prayer, financial support and friendship help us serve in the nations! God’s love being on display so that people might discover Him, is the reason for everything we do. In Paul’s words (Romans 10:14), Unless someone tells them, how will they ever hear? And, if they have never heard, how can they believe? And how can they call on Him for salvation, if they don’t believe in Him?

A quick update on what is happening with Liberty People right now!


LifeChanger Christian College in Vanuatu

This year, Christian schools in the Hunter Valley have come alongside our school in Port Vila specifically to provide regular, consistent onsite and online training and support for our school staff. We are so blessed with this important help! Our 300+ students are keen learners in the classroom, and the responsibility of guiding their young lives is a serious mission! Loving them and loving the work of educating them is the aim of our school staff family. One teacher shared recently, with tears in her eyes, how much she misses her third grade class on weekends. She can’t wait to see their faces again on Monday! What a wonderful heart; surely God’s heart for the children!

 

Coming Up in Vanuatu!

The past few days, we have loaded a 40-foot shipping container bound for Port Vila – our 31st since Cyclone Pam two years ago. On board are prefabricated huge engineered steel and timber beams and trusses for a large stage and all of the materials needed to build two new community centres. The Freswota community in Port Vila and the Loaniel community in Whitesands, Tanna Island both lost their vital communal centres in the cyclone. In August, we will start building them something better, stronger and more functional than what they had before. This is miraculous, and to God’s glory! We are so thankful for the provision which has made this possible.

Also included in this shipment, are solar power systems for our schools and for the Laoniel Community Centre, hundreds of chairs and many other school supplies, and community aid.

Next Wednesday, Jon and Abi, Alyssa, Jeremy and James will move to Port Vila for eighteen months. Please pray for them regularly. We are very thankful to those who have committed to support them financially on this assignment. But we still need around $2000 per month to fully cover all of their costs through until December 2018.

From late this month to September, our work in Vanuatu will include hosting several visiting teams, a week of school staff development, the major building projects, and hosting the six-day Face to Face Convention and Tim Hall Miracle Crusades. Several teams from churches in our area are planning to come with us, to pray for people during the meetings and for prayer and evangelism in the streets and public areas.

 

Coming Up in the Philippines!

In September, we’re taking the Miracle Crusades with Tim Hall to the Philippines – for two major city-wide Crusades in Victoria (Mindoro Is) and Tacloban (Leyte Island)! These will be huge events. Pray with us for eight incredible nights of divine encounters! Immediately preceding the Crusades, Peter Shurley will spend two weeks with the host churches in Mindoro, Samar and Leyte islands, preaching and performing. In each place, the churches are waiting with great expectation! They are preparing for major impact in their communities.
